The Kastaars is a live TV award show that is simultaneously broadcast on all major channels in Flanders.
It is an exceptional collaboration across all channels. The show shines a spotlight on outstanding achievements in various categories within the media landscape over the past year.
The show was broadcast from the Studio100 Pop-up Theater in Puurs.
This theater consists of 8 large mobile LED towers, making almost all backdrop decor digital. There were also long catwalks with floor LEDs.
New Solid was asked to create all video content for this show.
Initially, this involved translating the existing Kastaars Look & Feel, designed by Lieven Van Overbeke, onto the screens during the entire award section.
In addition, there were musical performances for which we also created custom video animations.
The screens are not positioned exactly next to each other, so we try to hide the space between the screens with a clever design. The black gaps now resemble the pillars of a warehouse.
